Angelica - Bike Specialist

What is your ethos?

My ethos is to feel fulfilled in life. I want nothing more than to live a life of happiness and joy.

Why did you choose Finish Line?

Finish Line was an easy choice. From the moment that I met with Christian, I knew working here would be a good fit. I wanted to feel feel valued and respected, and Finish Line embodies the overall essence of family. This place prides itself on cultivating an inclusive and diverse environment for customers and team members. I can say that throughout my time here everyone has made me feel so welcome. Definitely grateful I decided to make the change and join Finish Line!

How did you get started in the cycling world?

Like many people I was introduced to bicycles when I was a child. This bike was two sizes too big, I never learned the proper riding fundamentals; therefore, the bike took a BEATING. My preferred method of stopping was to find a patch of grass to fall over; although, dirt, rocks, and concrete were also options, LOL!

My parents got my sister and me a couple of bikes to ride during our camping trips. Family bike rides were a popular pastime, but I gave up bike riding for quite a while. When I started working in the bicycle industry, it sparked joy again to get on a bike.

How does cycling make you feel?

Cycling makes me feel the same joy I felt as a child. Also, you get the runner's high without the shin splints. #winning

Where is your favorite place to ride?

I’d have to say Balch Park. Balch Park is in the Sequoia National Park above Springville, CA.

What is some advice you would give to someone who is just starting riding?

Keep going, and ride through the soreness of the first initial rides. IT. GETS. BETTER!

How has cycling changed your life?

Cycling has changed my life because through cycling, I have found myself working in a place that I thoroughly enjoy.
